i think you need to let yourself get over the initial shock and clear your head. i went through the exact same thing. i only wanted one kid and i wanted a boy. i don't like girls either so when i found out i was having a girl i was devastated. i was in a depression for quite a while. but after a while i did get over it but i think it's because my baby was developing more into a baby and i was starting to bond with her and think about how she is mine and i made her. i still wish i had a boy to this day (my daughter is almost 3) but i love my little mini me more than life itself. just give yourself some time, im pretty positive things will change once she comes into the world.

I have been trying to conceive for the last 1yr and half, there are women who have been trying for MUCH longer than that. I suggest you give your baby to someone who will love them for who they are no matter the gender. Get over yourself.

1st off with being/getting pregnant you know that there's a 50/50 chance for a boy or a girl. So to be that upset for something you have no control over is going to get you no where. I can't stand females myself my daughter I love to death.

How sad. You don't always get what you want in life and many people would love to have a daughter. I understand gender dissapointment but saying you hate your own child is taking it to far. You really should look into counseling. It's not healthy to be resentful of your own flesh and blood. Poor baby.

Maybe I'm wron for saying this. But there are so many women out there that would kill to have that baby you are carrying. What you just posted had to be the most selfish ungrateful thing I've ever heard in my life!

Wow, you want to jump off a bridge because you're having a girl?? Are you kidding me? You are concerned about this instead of hoping for a healthy pregnancy and baby?? Not everyone gets to take their babies home. Thats pretty selfish.

I felt pretty bad about having a boy with my last. I so want a girl this time.... I have one of both and I love them both (my son is amazing and so affectionate) but I just prefer girls. It wouldn't change anything if I had another boy. I am pregnant and this baby is coming no matter the sex....
but threatening to jump off a bridge is a little extreme though.

Oh boo hoo. Suck it up!
Just be happy you are able to have kids. Other women would LOVE o have babies.

You should love this child regardless of the sex.
If you dont want it, give her away to someone who does.

Also, I would suggest quitting your job as a preschool teacher. No way in smurf would I trust someone with my daughter if they can say sadistic smurf about jumping off a bridge because of the gender of their baby.
