I think it's smurfing stupid/selfish to get a tattoo while pregnant.

the safety of my baby is more important, it's not worth taking a risk that something might happen, how hard is it to just wait til after the baby is born???

wouldn't risk it, as much as I want to, my husband offered to pay to get one of mine fixed for mother's day but I said no because i'm pregnant.

Why risk it? I'd wait. Plus any reputable place would not tattoo a pregnant woman

Just wait. It's not that long. If its a good idea now, it will be a good idea 9 months from now.

Damn she just asked a question. Personally I would just wait till baby came because the risk of infection is high.

I'd wait....plus no place that I know of will tattoo a woman if they know she is pregnant. So if they won't risk it, I most definitely wouldn't.

why is it selfish? nothing shows anything about the baby being harmed. but if the needles are opened in front of you, they are sterile

No, it's stupid. And any shop that values their reputation and services wouldn't touch a pregnant woman with a ten foot pole.

Anyone that allows a pregnant woman is obviously desparate or fishy. If they are good they don't need to take pregnant or breastfeeding women to fill the schedule - they will have enough other people claiming those spots. I wouldn't want a tattoo from someone that was smurffy or fishy enough to tattoo me while pregnant

but there's always a chance of something happening, and i wouldn't take any chance of something if i knew there was even a 1 in a million chance of something happening to my baby
