Watching!! We have two sets of stairs.. the front ones we have to keep the door locked during the day, but it leads to the nursery.. our stairs there have a nice rail that turns immediately into a bend and we haven't found a gate that would stay locked on it well enough to trust it.. The other steps are fine so it was a non-issue in the living room
