Thanks! Yeah, the good ole "ear infection shot."lol My daughter got that shot, and still got plenty of ear infections. I personally wouldn't risk vaccine reactions to avoid (usually) mild, non-threatening illnesses like chicken pox, rotovirus and ear infections. But that's just me!

I decided to hold off on getting Bella's frist shots until she was a year old and they gave her 7 shots when I told them we could start... she was so sick for a week and a half, running a fever, and she got rosiolla (or however you spell it) right after her first birthday... poor little lady we had to put off her birthday party 2 weeks. I think I need to look up all these sites before the next trip to the doctor.... maybe it will save us a trip to the ER. The doctor at the ER was making a big deal out of the fact that we didnt have her vaccinations too... it was making Steven and I CRAZY because there is no reason they should press the matter so hard. so.... were not going back there EVER!!!! In Fact after her last shots I do not think I want to keep on getting her shots.

My son is currently up-to-date with his 2 month shots. I woud like to put my son on a delayed/alternative schedule for his future shots. However, I am concerned that doing so would limit my travelling options. I plan to bring him home (overseas) to see his grandparents come Spring. Does anyone know if it is a bad idea to travel without the vaccinations (pretty much the remaining boosters)?

Just wondering if you choose to do this schedule do you need to let your pedi know ahead of time? I plan on vaccinating but I would like to do less at one time and my son's 2 month appointment is Jan 13 do i need to call and tell them ahead of time?

I just now found this thread. how informative. Millie is now 13 months old and I want to put her on a delayed schedule. My ped doesn't do the vaccinations so I have to go to the health department. I'm not even sure how to go about starting a delayed schedule. ugh. I wish I would have never vaccinated to begin with. Should have went with my gut.

SO...I know you can do the deleyed schedule, but what about the selective ones? How do you know which are "safe" and which aren't? (I suppose by safe, I mean safER) My little brother has aspergers, along with sensory integration disorder and my mom believes it has alot to do with his vaccinations. (She has stopped giving him vaccinations, of course) I am expecting in Feb. and I'm trying to decide if I want to do a selective/delayed schedule or none at all.
