So now that he's here...

I'm at a loss for words. Now that our son is here I don't know what to do with my self... I can't sleep or any thing with out thinking if he's okay... i'm going crazy and its an awesome feeling...   But at the same time I really don't know what to do. He's here and I feel like I should be doing more with him, he just eats sleeps and poo's. is that all there is... Please tell me that there is more to this, am I missing something? Help a sleepless mom out. lol.

He's two days old... I just put him back to sleep and now I only wish that I could do the same but I can't. My husband has no prob falling to sleep after a feeding but not me. I have to like tell myself everything is okay just go to sleep and still... i worry. :0)

Congrats and enjoy that feeling! I was like that for about the first two weeks. Every time I looked at my son, I burst into tears I was so happy. I'm still super happy and love him to pieces but I already miss those first few days where it felt like my heart would explode with love.

As for not enough to do...if there's more, there's two of us who aren't doing it. I spend my days feeding, changing poopie diapers, going for walks and having brilliant conversations with a 4 week old. It's great. I never thought I'd enjoy myself so much.

Yeah thats what my days are going to look like... and I know that if I have to go back to work I will be missing these times. Thanks. I keep telling myself I should go to sleep too but he's awake and just lying there being cute and making happy sounds. I keep watching him and he knows it and so he's not falling asleep, he's watching me right back....Maybe by next week he won't be as cute and I'll actually go to sleep when he does?

LOL yeah my hubby keeps telling me to just go to sleep but I feel the same, how do you just sleep when that little thing is just there being awesome and sweet?!
