for women that had a c-section...

posted 30th Apr
Did anyone after their section have problems with being dizzy and light headed all the time? I'm 11 weeks postpartum and it just seems to get worse as the weeks go by. I even fell in my laundry room a second ago because I blacked out for a second. I started to get dizzy right after my two surgeries (the first one being the section and the second one was a week later to remove a softball size blood clot). I'm wondering if the surgeries have anything to do with me being so damn dizzy all the time. I'm calling the doctor tomorrow to run some blood tests, but I just want to know if anyone else experienced this after child birth.

i did for about a week afterwards but thats it. I would definitely call your doctor first thing in the morning. It could be something more serious. I hope everything turns out ok & i hope you feel better!

I'm only a bit over four weeks postpartum, and I haven't had a problem with it. I hope everything is ok with you, though, and good luck with the doctor.

I had that for a week or so afterward. I would call your doctor and let them know... I'm not sure if its normal past a week or two.

Good luck!!

i don't know if my cousin had problems cause of her sections but when she was preggo w/ her second she used to twitch and jump all the time...it continued afterwards too...he is almost 3 and recently she had one of her episodes and blacked out too, she ended up falling down the stairs...she has to go see a neurologist about it..so i would suggest getting referred to one.

wow, i got dizzy too, i had to be reopened too. are you being packed from your 2nd opening? i had too. it may be lack of vitamins, are you eating/drinking properly? are you nursing? that can do it too!

I'm thinking that maybe my body is not use to all of this activity now and I'm not taking vitamins anymore and I'm not eating nearly as much as I did when I was pregnant. I went walking and was pushing my little girl in her stroller, by the time I got to the end of my neighborhood, I felt like my head was going to explode. It's like I'm extremely dizzy but I have this intense pressure in my head. Hopefully my doctor takes me seriously tomorrow because I haven't met one doctor so far that has been too concerned and everytime that they blow me off something bad happens. Example...I was complaining of a fever after my section and they told me it was normal but told me to come up there anyways to remove the tape from my incision...right when I was getting things ready to go I felt a huge gush and I looked down and my pants were covered in blood. Thank God they wanted to remove the tape otherwise they would have just blew me off. That's when I was admitted for my second surgery to remove the clot. I just want to be normal again damnit. I wish I could be like some women and just have my baby and then go home recover and be back on my feet with no problems!
