Absent seizures. *video added

How does your child act when he/she has one? Do their eyes blink if you talk loudly or snap your fingers, clap your hands, or something else loudly to "scare them" into a reaction? Do they continue moving their hands, or do they have some other "tic?"

My daughter has been seen for possible seizures, but all EEGS came back negative. Anyway, earlier, I was trying to record her signing, and she spaced out. I started snapping my fingers around her face, and had no reaction. I'm uploading the video to Youtube in hopes that someone else with experience could give me their opinion, but everyone says I'm crazy and that it's normal spacing out.

It's annoying, because when she does it, she will NOT snap out of it. A bomb could go off next to her and she would be absolutely oblivious. This one is different than her normal ones, though, it wasn't as long, and she still moved her hands a little, when normally she doesn't.

Sounds like it. I had them, grew out of them, and had a few after a head injury.

I don't think that was a seizure. See how she smiled afterwards

Quoting [H&K]:" I don't think that was a seizure. See how she smiled afterwards"

Yeah... but she snapped right out of it, completely alert...?

I zone out and I have seizures. My parents have told me they can tell the difference because I don't smile coming out of a seizure. If you look at YouTube videos other kids don't smile either.

Obviously I'm not a doctor just have experience

That doesn't quite look like when My kids Typically Zone out.
But it does look like when I Zone out, & half my Son's Current Zonings.
He just had another EEG yesterday morning.
Problem with EEG's is that Unless they're/you're having one, or recently enough when they're doing the EEG it is not very likely to show anything. It needs to "See" the Energy produced by the Seizure, even if it's just residual energy.
They don't know if My son's Migraines are Seizures or what looks like a "Seizure" may just be a Migraine, or if one is causing the other. The only thing I can say with a fair amount of certainty is that one way or another his Night-terrors were/are directly linked to his Migraine activity. & You do not want to know & would not believe the Myriad of ways that Migraines can present....
Likewise with Me they don't know if My zoning/phasing out is a Seizure, or just Me being a little Narcoleptic. If it is a seizure for me, they have very very highly & incredibly difficult to recreate Trigger. My Grandmother had the same trigger for her "Grand-Mal" seizures.
My daughter so far has not had any type of event or Zoning other than the completely Typical Toddler BS.

Try & get several different vids of these "Events", since she may be experiencing some Normal Zones, & Some Seizures, & even some Migraines that are All looking virtually identical. I'd also try to get her hearing & vision completely checked out, not just the little High Pitch tone hearing test type things. You'd be surprised how relatively "normal" kids who are not completely Deaf/blind but do have some severe loss/lack of those senses seem to be. They adapt pretty well, even those who are completely Deaf/blind!
