re: Phentermine Chat

I weighed myself this morning & I'm at 175.4   I was 174.6 2 or 3 days ago so I'm not sure where the almost pound is coming from. Tomorrow is my last pill & I have an appt on Friday to get another prescription,I read on the first page that you can only be on the phentermine for 3 months,is that like FDA regulations? Or does it differ by doctor? Cause for my height my "healthy" weight is 152 at the highest & 133 is the "target" weight & I want to be about 135-145 so I would still need at least 2 more months of Phen but I've already been on it for 2 months.

I think it varies, my mom has been on it for 6 months strait. My doctor said I can have it for 3 months, take a month off, and start again

I think that is just a general guideline, & it differs by doctor!

Oh okay. I took it for a month,got off it for 2 weeks,did another month (this one I'm on now) so I will probably be off it for another week or two & then do it again that way it's not back to back.

do you need to be technically overweight to be prescribed phentermine?

My BMI is 24 or something, and technically thats normal, however 25 is overweight.

I'm not positive but I believe you have to be considered overweight to get it. My sister was on it & only lost like 8-9 lbs & her BMI was in the "healthy" BMI zone so our doctor wouldn't prescribe her anymore.

I think it just depends... my BMI was barely overweight, & I got it. & I also got another month of it when my BMI was considered healthy lol

Going back for my weight loss check up next friday.. I hope he gives me more.

I was 217 when I started I'm ranging between 203 and 199 now.

So I am down 22lbs..not as much as I thought, but I have been kind of lazy lately. I just started my new job yesterday so maybe all the running around will make up for my laziness.

I'm stalling! I've lost 39 lbs so far since June 5th & the last 3 days I haven't budged from 171-171.8 I just started the phentermine again like maybe a week ago.

Going in for my weight check in a couple weeks. In the year I have been on this I have lost 60lbs! Im not anywhere near my goal yet..

How can I motivate myself to work out... it's not use in taking the pills if I'm not making healthy choices/

The first few days are the hardest for me, after that though I wanted to work out. I just told myself that I wanted to lose this weight & look better

Hey ladies. The doctor took me off phentermine and tried me on something new. I am giving this new med a few month but I have decided to look into gastric bypass.

I lose 45 lb on phentermine but has stopped losing and satyed at the same weight.
