BG drama and bullies

It annoys me when someone thinks because of how long they've been here, their post count, or the fact that their are rude people on here, that those things make it acceptable to belittle, name-call, bash, or just be rude in general to people.

I don't care how long you have been on the site, you are perfectly capable of controlling yourself.

It really irks me when someones response is "Haven't you been on BG long enough to know people will react like that"

or
" you're a noob this is how people are on here"

This is false. I've only been on here since december but I'm an active everyday member and have been through enough threads to know that people don't all act like that.

There absolutely is a difference between an opinion and being rude or hurtful. You absolutely can comment on something with a negative opinion and not call someone a nasty name or say something hurtful directed at them. Its called self control and being an adult.

And just because you have been on this site longer or freedom of speech or whatever excuse you can think of to throw out there doesnt not make you right for behaving like a bully in middle school.

And no this does not apply to people who do not like the OP or topic of something and put in their own 2 cents, this applies to the people who tack on words after their opinion like selfish, bitchy, smurf, lazy, etc and then bash each other back and forth through the thread or follow the OP to another thread.

I realy doubt that a person's attitude have anything to do with how long they have been on here, or how many posts they have. Some people are just plain mean, rude, annoying, belittling people.
and as always, you are here willingly so if you don't like what goes on, you are free to leave.
