Ammonia free hair dye?

Is it safe to use if its ammonia free or is it still dangerous? I'm just wanting to do the tips of my long hair and my bangs so i can color it "punk" colors. My hair is currently black so it won't show up well on my hair other wise. I don't want to do it if its still dangerous.

You can use regular hair dye if you're pregnant. Just do it in a well ventilated area.

Outside is best if it's nice out.

Hair dye is fine even with ammonia if you are in a well ventilated area. My hair is naturally black I spent my whole pregnancy first time around platinum and lavender

I wasn't so worried about it, but as soon as i said that i had decided to do it DH started freaking out

it's FINEEE!! and demi hair color is ammonia free anyways...
most temps are too b/c it's not actually penetrating...
what are you using?

oh well nevermind- bleach isn't ammonia free... and honestly- go to sallys and get an actual bleach- don't use the box smurf...

the herbashine is ammonia free...
