I'm 15 years old and want to have a baby.

posted 9th May '12
I'm almost 16 years old, in July. & lately i've been wanting a baby. I am sexually active and had 3 pregnancy scares. But. the more I've been thinking I really wished I was pregnant. I love kids and my ex boyfriend had 3 nieces and nephews and they loved me alot and we saw how both of us really loved children and that we were responsible enough and could handle the big responsiblitly of a child. & I am ready financially and I watch both of my new born nephews, One is almost 5 months old and the other is 3 weeks old and it seems really easy to be a parent.

alright. You can have a bay but tell me. Where will you live? How will you pay for the baby? How will you continue to further yourself with a baby?

bwhahaha

relatives are one thing....your OWN kids are another.

Just watch 16 and pregnant lol. Youd think that show would scare "kids" into NOT wanting to have kids now.

Yeah. It seems really easy to be a parent when you give the kids back after a few hours.

Right? We dropped about $4000 just before he was even born on stuff he'd need.

You may THINK you're ready but seriously having your own child is ALOT different then taking care of a niece or nephew. I took care of my nieces & nephews all the time, babysat all the time to. I wasn't a teen mom but I was 21 almost 22 when I had my 1st son (he was not planned) & we (me & my husband) struggled. It was alot different then babysitting. No partying, you can't hangout with friends all the time, there's the possibility of losing friends & so much more. Babies aren't cheap either. I am now 24 & due with my 2nd son on Aug 28th. Raising a child is not easy so my suggestion to you is to WAIT till you are older.

Unless you have thousands saved up, you are not financially ready at 15/16 years old. Unless you have been saving your pocket money every week for the last 10 years.

I don't think anyone can honestly say they are financially ready..... unless they have thought about it and planned well ahead and saved hard ready for pregnancy & bringing a baby into the world.

Think about what you are wanting to do..... I have no children, but am pregnant with my first at nearly 29 years of age. Bringing a Baby into the world is a HUGE responsibilty. You are very young & have alot to learn in life yet. x

Ahh living off your mother and grandparents...always the classy choice at 15.

Your not even with the guy (assuming your ex was who you had the pregnancy scares with) any more so not only do you want to be come a mother when your only "almost" 16 but you want to be a single mom at that. My baby isnt even here yet and i am scared smurfless. To say it really isnt that hard shows you are not ready. Enjoy your nephews for the time being. No need to rush into motherhood. Have fun be a kid and have a kid when the time is right.
