my story

I have posted it before,but felt like sharing the short version again. I found out I was pregnant January 2011. I was due September 21, but had him on May 29 at 23.3 weeks. He fought hard for 6 days. It was the hardest 6 days of my life. He is our little Rock Star in Heaven. Coda Josiah 5/29/11-64/11

I then found out I was pregnant in Auguast. I found out I have an incompetent cervix. I got the cerclage and weekly 17p shots. I made it to 30.3 weeks. I was due April 18, 2012 but had her February 11, 2012. Our Rock Princess is named Cadence Mae. She keeps ,me going everyday. She puts a smile on my face when all I feel like doing is crying. She means everything to me and I'll do anything for her.

We didn't have her to replace Coda. She never will. I still love Coda just as much as I love Cadence. But if it wasn't for her it would be very hard to get through each day. If I choose to get pregnant again I will have to get an abdominal cerclage. I am thinking about seeing an OBGYN who specializes in this stuff instead of the one I do now.

I guess I will share my story with you we had a baby boy at 20 weeks Alex he lived for 2 hours before passing away 5/7/08. We got pregnant again in December of 09 had a cerclage but went into labor at 16 weeks and had another baby boy on 3/4/10. So when we found out in October 2011 that we were expecting again was not excited cried for days I was on birth control. Well my OB set me up an appointment with Dr Craigo in Boston and had an abdominal cerclage placed on December 12 2011 I am now 35 weeks pregnant and will be having a C-Section in 15 days cant wait to meet our miracle boy.

I couldnt imagine losing 2 cuz the pain from my 1st was unbearable. you are in my prayers and before long your miracle baby will be in your arms! So the abdominal cerclage is much better?

It was painful it is like having a c-section unless you have it placed before pregnancy but with the progesterone shots and the cerclage they have worked and have not had any problems it is so exciting and worth it. I would recommend it to everyone.

Ya, they said i would have it before i get pregnant again. You still get the 17p shots with the abdominal cerclage?

I'm glad you have your little girl and no, she's not a replacement. Just a reminder that there is always Hope.

I also lost my first child, a little boy at 28wks born 11/14/10 and died 11/24/10. It was and still is hard for me but now I have another son and he was born at 35.5wks 23 days ago. Difference is I got to take him home with me. Sometimes I wonder how my sons would act towards each other. How it would be to watch them play together. I want to cry just typing this but LO is sleeping on my chest and I know I'll be okay because I can feel him breathing.

Lol Cadence is sleeping on my chest too. These past few days she's wanted me to hold her a lot. People are like you better stop it, but I wouldn't change it. I think the same thing how they would do together. I didnt get to take her home with me, but she came home a month later.

Yea they tell me the same thing but, I've also heard you can't spoil a newborn. Besides, they were taken early. They need to adjust.

When she gets older it'll be different, but until then I will hold her as much as I want
