Intake accountability...join me!
posted 30th Apr
Ok, so I had been counting calories to stay aware of my food intake for a long time. Then a few months ago I got away from it. And the scale is showing an upward trend and my damned pants are all tight. So, if nobody minds, since I'm on babygaga every freaking day, I'm going to swing over to this thread and log what I eat every day. I'm hoping it will encourage me to stop the mindless munching in front of the computer.
This is my plan: decrease calories to 14-1500/day, take in 25-30 grams of fiber/day, and drink 10 glasses of water/day.
If anyone does a version of this, please join me so we can encourage each other! I'm going to make a new post for each day, and throughout the day, update it with what I've eaten.
Anyone with me?

I'm a habitual calorie counter - more so when I wasn't pregnant. But I still like to log my cals so I know I'm not going insane (last night I ate half a cake, though). I usually just write my stuff in a journal, calories, fat content, carbs, and then log how much I exercised and the approx. amt. of calories I burned doing that. I would log my stuff on here if there were a place to do it!

What's a good calorie intake for me since I'm prego? Is it still the same? I really want to watch what I'm gaining... especially this last stretch. The doc has already warned me against gaining too much more weight. I stay active, sooo I guess I should try eating a bit more healthy too =)

I really need to do something like this, because let's face it - im not exercising! This would be helpful at least.
The only thing is, Im breastfeeding...anyone know how many calories you still need and all of that? (Please dont bash me, I am not going to diet, I'd just like to watch what I am eating)

yeah, you should just add about 500 cals to whatever your calorie needs are. I think there are some good websites w/ calculators to determine your cal needs. I'll try to find one and link it.

Yeah I try to stay around 2000 calories...it really isn't much more when you're pregnant. Its about the equivalent of adding a slice of toast with PB, or a handful of nuts, or a bowl of cereal. Its easy to think you can go insane with food when you're pregnant.
I just woke up so I haven't consumed anything but water, but I'll add it all at the end of the day.
