A. D. D/A. D. H. D; Adderall

I always feel like I do alright without it when I run out or can't find it.. then I get a new script and I'm like "HOLY Smurf!! EVERY MOM SHOULD GET PRESCRIBED ADDERALL! Omg, I did blahblahblah,whooooo! "

Does anyone else take adderall?

Also, I've been diagnosed by different doctors but my Mon told me now a days its just called adhd, as in there's not two separate diagnoses. Wdyt? Did she hear wrong?

I think they are still two different things. My brother has ADHD and my husband has ADD. My brother is medicated and he can control it wonderfully. My husband has a very hard time focusing. Sometimes I wonder how he is able to do his job because it gets really bad sometimes. I wish he would get meds.

Add is now called ADHD without hyperactivity.

OR ADHD inattentive type.


My kids' pediatrician thinks it's stupid, too,.

i have ADHD without hyperactivity which is what its called now... I was on Adderall until i got pregnant i got soooo much done!

my DH has ADHD and there should be emphasis on the H when it come to him. He can get pretty crazy off his meds. He takes Ritalin though.

That's so stupid.  

My son's pediatrician always refered to my son having Attention Deficit Disorder/ADD because he does not have the hyperactivity.

I thought they still used the term ADD when there was no hyperactivity. Then again they also use Dysphasia and aphasia for two different conditions in my area but recently found out that in the states it's the same thing.

I know Jason has a hard time with medication because he does not have the hyperactivity. We tried Ritalin then Aderrall for his concentration. Both made him so aggressive and hyper we just stopped them. The poor kid was literally smacking his head and biting his arms. He kept saying his head felt weird and would maybe sleep 1-2 hours a night tops and refused to eat a single bite.

I'm thinking that type of medication is not for him.

May I ask if it makes you feel hyper? Does it affect your sleep pattern and appetite?

His pediatrician said it most likely happens because he is not hyperactive. I don't know though lol.

When I was on 90mg I was really hyper. Now I'm on 60mg and its much better.

When the doctors put me on adderall they told my parents yo give me sleep aids. Even now If I don't take melatonin I woulsnt sleep at all.
