Honestly BC had no effect on my PCOS. I took BC on and off as a teenager. It didn't regulate me, it didn't help with the hair growth, it didn't help with the hair thinning. However BC always gives me depression. After I have my next child I don't plan on going on BC.. We're both infertile, I don't feel comfortable with the hormones and I'll be on Topamax, it makes BC less effective. I'm also nervous about getting a blood clot.

DH was on Clomid. I also have him on a lot of herbs for low sperm count and motility. I know the ones for motility helped since last cycle his was at 14 or 15% and this cycle it was 38%.

Don't be sorry for all the questions. I love when people ask me questions, I love being able to help others. Weight loss did help me regulate my cycles and ovulate every cycle but my egg quality isn't good without Clomid.

Hi Caitlin! Welcome to the group, we don't mind new people coming in. We're here to support everybody in their TTC journey  

I'm Anya, we've been TTC #2 for 2 years now. We did IUI to get pregnant with my daughter. I have PCOS and DH has bad motility.

I'm sure your RE will be able to help you get pregnant! Update us about your appointment tomorrow! Good luck!

Off topic but does everybody who celebrates Christmas have their trees up yet?

Welcome Caitin!! I'm sure you will love it here and find all the ladies very helpful and supportive. I too had tube issues, we had a tubal pregnancy in my left tube and lost it, then had another tubal in my right, and although they saved my right tube it was damaged and in our best interest to go the IVF route. That being said....one round of IVF and i'm 13 weeks pregnant tomorrow!!! Good luck on your journey and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you!! I'm very open to IVF, but we may have some setbacks before we can begin. The surgeon who did my Lap seems to think my blocked tube will need to be removed before starting treatments. Also, my insurance company requires X amount of IUI attempts before they will help pay for IVF. Since one of my tubes is technically "open" (though damaged and probably not functional) they may require us to try IUI first. So frustrating! Tomorrow at the consult we will know more.

Nope. We're in the process of moving. I don't think we'll have a tree this year.

Hi Ashleigh. Welcome! I hope you will get some answers. No matter what they are it is always great to know the path and the steps to take. It makes it all more
bearable. I have both tubes blocked and we are doing IVF. I have Egg retrieval tomorrow morning.

How was your IVF cycle? How many mature eggs did you get and how many fertilized? Did you do a 3 day or 5 day transfer?
I have my retrieval tomorrow. We are hoping for a 5 day transfer this time around, but at the same time I am so worried I might lose all embryos in the process of waiting until Blast stage.
