Quoting Mrs.O♥:" Thank you so much!!!   I really appreciate that. I want to stay positive but at this point, I don't ... [snip!] ... I don't know if it will be good news   I did call my RE's office to ask about our next option..using a donor. We'll see!"

The decision to use a donor was a difficult one for me to come to. I fought it sooo hard. But once I finally conceded it was all of a sudden no big deal at all. I just wanted to be a momma and this was my best chance to do so. I'm sure it's different for everyone, especially for men, but if using a donor is what you and your husband decide to do, it could very possibly be easier than you may think. Hoping for the best! *hugs*

Quoting Wanted: #2:" How does DH feel about that?"

He says he doesn't want this to stop us from becoming parents, he wants to be a father even if it won't be biologically his, he will still be daddy.

I just have hesitations with that because we see things so differently. I'd love to be open and honest, but he'd rather not go there, thinks it's better left unsaid and would rather our child(ren) know only him as dad. I can understand where he's coming from, but I still don't think it's fair that our immediate family knows (like just moms and dads) but our child is left in the dark.... Then the other side of me thinks, this whole thing is his "issue", having a zero sperm count, and I feel like he should have a higher say.

So torn. but our RE's office requires 2 sessions of counseling before going the donor route.

Quoting Wanted: #2:" Wow, I didn't even know that could happen? I am so sorry? How did you find out?"

I just noticed that my vision was cloudy in one of my eyes and the specialist just confirmed cataracts in both eyes. It's really not that big of a deal and the surgery could actually improve my vision (before cataracts). It just makes me feel old!

I totally understand both sides!!! Very difficult!

Quoting Wanted: #2:" Thats good to hear! Did you she also have one large lead follicle? By how far was it ahead? I know mine is pretty huge. No matter if 22 or 26 mm"

She did not have that much of a disparity with hers. I believe she had some that were about 15/16 while others were about 10. But all those 10s did get a chance to catch up and 25 eggs were retrieved.

I agree. I'll be sad if that's what we have to do, if the results aren't the best, but at the same time I just think... it's not the end for us, we can still have a baby. Then I think 18 years down the road, and I feel like I'd be living with this deep dark secret..... It's hard to explain.

But I think if it comes down to it, I'd do donor... like you, I really want to be a mom and I think it's the best chance we have.

He's okay. Not much pain since he has meds, just a little uncomfortable.

This is probably a stupid question but after a couple of months or weeks is it possible that there might be sperm?
