From my understanding, alot of them require basic first aid and CPR, or first responder training, which is offered through the red cross and pretty cheap and quick.

First Responder classes I think are 2-3 for a few hours a session and your done.

This! CPR/fist aid classes can be taken together for like $80. It takes like 6-8 hours.

Thats really a lot to ask of you! She shouldn't just assume that you work on the holidays. Sometimes people just try to take advantage. I would be firm that you made those plans with your family and that it is important to you. I wouldn't just quit over it, but if she feels that is a reason to end the work relationship than it is her choice.

Rumors are too funny! I have been pregnant so many times (according to rumors)...however, we have one employee who told me with both pregnancies that I was pregnant, before I even knew it and he was right. Kind of creepy!

Your right. It's not a good reason to quit over. It's just not the first time she's been kind of disrespectful to me and understanding that I have a life outside of taking care of her child. She put up a fit about our IVF before too.

Thats not nice. It sounds like you are really willing to work with her to accomdodate her needs. If you need her to make other arrangements a couple of times per year it is totally fine. You are honest and open about it and don't just call in sick the day of....I am sure she appreciates the fact that she can rely on you. Just stand up for yourself and I bet she will learn to live with it.
