What is your dosage? and how often do you have to take it?
My RE doesn't tell me much he just tells me I have a cyst thats 24cm and that I need to take this medicine to shrink it and come back in 2 weeks for a followup. He said that if I started injections this cycle it would be a waste. He said to wait until next cycle.

I am on 0.35 mg. I have to take it once a day around the same time, which is important otherwise I start spotting right away.

I took another test this morning so I'm out for this month. Now it's just a waiting game to see when my period starts. Hopefully next month I can get an U/S. Who knows if I even had an egg large enough to fertilize. I'm curious to see if he ups my dosage. I kinda hope he doesn't but if we need to I'll do it. Did most of you ladies do an hsg test before moving to something else after Clomid? I just think it's so weird that I was able to get pregnant so easily before my miscarriage and infection. Although before this I don't think I ever had cysts either.

I'm sorry you got disappointing news. I hope your cyst shrinks fast!

It's taking a long time to get in with my OB for the referral to a new RE. I'm trying to set up an appointment with my PCP for the referral. I had a not so good appointment today..


Right before I went in for my U/S I talked to the nurse she said this is your 5th Clomid cycle we don't do Clomid past 3-4 cycles. You probably won't do IUI but we'll run it by the doctor. This is cycle #3 while TTC #2, but she's counting my two cycles that I TTC'ed LO. I asked her if I could do Femara, she said "no the doctor doesn't do Femara." Hmm well on his website he says he does, I didn't say that to her but I thought it. Then I asked "So, whats next if I can't do IUI?" The nurse said "I don't know. What did the doctor tell you?" I said "I had an IVF consultation back in September. We were told we could do 2-3 more IUI cycles." The nurse said "Oh really? You had an IVF consultation, let me check your chart." She looked and said "Okay, we can start you on birth control today." I told her that we don't want to move on to IVF right now.

My RE's office called me back and said to start the Clomid on CD 5, I'm assuming we're going to do IUI. It seems like my RE's office is just trying to push IVF. Last cycle they screwed up my IUI, I don't want to do IVF with them.

What is up these docs offices messing up the timing of the fertility treatments??? Isn't that what they went to school for? It's sad that i can figure things out better than they can. So sorry your appointment was disappointing. Crossing my fingers and praying for a successful IUI for you!

Considering they royally screwed up your last cycle they sure as hell better do another one!

My RE's office always schedules things on there time not occording to my O time. Also my RE always seems to ask me the same questions everytime like its the first time hes seen me and I've been going there since July

Hi Ladies!!! Hope everyone is doing well, trying to keep up with everyone!!!

11 days until DH's surgery!!!!! ALMOST in the single digits. I'm so nervous. Everytime I think about it, my stomach hurts so bad, and my heart starts racing. I know this sounds SUPER selfish, but I'm usually the one being taken care of, so it's going to be scary and a whole new ball game taking care of DH after surgery.

I'm thankful for thanksgiving coming up ( yay! only a 3 day week at work) and the day after thanksgiving, DH and I are going into the city (Boston!) to see the play "How the Grinch stole Christmas!" So excited for a day date! With all of that in the next week it has kept my mind off of everything  

And I've decided tonight that I will remain positive, but if things don't turn out the way we hope, we will be parents regardless... and we will take it day by day. My love to be a mother outweighs our fears or worries (regarding using a donor)

One last thing, I just finished making my MIL & FIL's christmas gift, a photobook. Last page said "Save this spot for future baby Olson, coming soon!"   Made me happy! Sorry this is so LONG!! AHH! lol.

I am sorry your test was negative. I would definitely have and HSG done before moving on to other treatment. I conceived both, my misscarriage and my son within 3 months of TTC. After my son I never had a (discovered) infection. We TTCed for a year and I decided to see a RE as I just knew something was wrong. They did all kinds of tests including an HSG and sure enough both my tubes were totally blocked. Until today I don't know why....we went straight to IVF and didn't lose any time and money. I hope this is not what will be your outcome, but I would of course try to have any test done, possible in order to exclude any possibilities.

I hate when they behave like that. I am sure the doctor knows what he is doing, but it is just a lack of conversation in between the patient and the doctor. I am happy you can do another IUI. How did they screw up your last cycle? I am new to this thread. If you are not comfortable with them, is there a chance to find another clinic? I did a switch this cycle and it was much easier than I thought.

Last day of Birth Control Pill!!!!! We are officially moving into our next IVF cycle. I am so super excited. I hate to say it out loud, but I am just so hopeful for this cycle! I just feel in my heart that this will be it and that every step I am taking will bring me closer to my baby. I just feel more positive than with the last two IVFs. Please, please pray that I am right. This needs to work!

Last cycle they didn't monitor me correctly. They brought me in on a Friday, I ended up ovulating on Saturday, I went in for my u/s and labs on Sunday and everything showed that I ovulated already. They did my IUI on Monday at 2dpo. At that point there's not chance of the IUI working, the egg already died.

I'm about to PM you about a couple RE's if you don't mind.
