Start them today! Or tomorrow if you don't have them yet. As far as I know it doesn't hurt to start early. Buuuuuuuuuuut check with your RE because again, it might be different for FETs.

My nurse said they don't want me to start them now because we aren't sure DH will have a successful surgery and don't want to start injections until we know for sure.

ETA: If that even makes sense, I'm so new with this I get confused.

You might want to double check with her on that, perhaps she thought you were wanting to go ahead and start the whole protocol? I do remember with my IUIs and my first IVF cycle the length of time on BCP was pretty flexible, as long as I was on them for at least two weeks. What my nurse (my OLD IVF nurse who wasn't a freak) said was it just puts a pause button on your ovaries and then they start right back up again when you stop. But if your nurse is emphatic about not starting BCPS then you should wait.

From the info the new nurse gave me I was under the impression I'd start the Clomid tonight. But I read my flowsheet online, it it shows that I start on CD3 (the 14th). It confused me a little at first.

This this is the best CD1 I've ever had! No bleeding LOL

Baha.

How are they determining your CD? I thought it always started with a period.

I'm keeping you in my thoughts. I hope everything will turn out fine.

Thanks girl. If things are not okay I'm definitely going to have a bloody mary or two. I'm craving them so much right now. I have no idea why since I almost never drink anymore, haha.

That's how I always thought it was determined.. The most I got from the nurse who called me today is, my body was restarted so it's like a fresh cycle.

Here is the online schedule my RE has for me

cycle day for whatever reason.. The nurses don't know much about infertility and they don't communicate anything. I don't understand how Clomid will work now.. I'll give it a try but I don't understand this. I even tried to google, nothing came up.

Did you start the BCPs when your period started? Maybe that's when they're counting your cycle start and being on them for only nine days really just paused your ovaries and the day after your last pill put you back to where you were the day you took your first BCP.

I hate that they expect us to just blindly follow their instructions without understanding them. You and I are both big researchers and we *need* to WHY!
