Yup, IUI! I want to lose about 20lbs before attempting IVF.. I've been doing more research on it.. I don't know why I'm so hesitant?

Did you call your doctor today?? Since you have ovarian cysts, I think you should call.

It's a scary thing, I can understand that. I'm nervous as well, but at his point ill do anything to have a baby and this is definitely our only option.

If I was TTC my first, I would jump at IVF. Now that I have one child the risks weigh heavily on my mind. A part of me is shocked that I have to do IVF, but I always had a feeling it'd come down to that.

Yay!! I'm almost done Christmas shopping for DD!

I'm back from my ultrasound and blood work.

My cyst is gone! The ultrasound tech asked me if I'm starting my Clomid, today, I look at her confused and said "Nobody told me what's going on with my cycle". After my ultrasound I went to the nurses station and asked what's next. I was told depending on my blood work I'll either A) Start Clomid today from CD12-16 or B) wait for AF, then do a Clomid cycle.

I want to shake these people and ask them what is wrong with them!! Do they not know how frustrating it is just to have to go through all of this, let alone be left in the dark about your treatment schedule??? Holy!!! The IVF clinic i went to gave me a calendar day by day telling me what to do, when to do it, how much to take of each medication etc. And they do the same for someone going through IUI as well.

That's great news about the cyst though!!

I'm new to all this. I have two kids living. I lost a baby in December. We tried for 9 months with no success then decided to start BDing every other night and we started walking on a daily basis. Two months later I was pregnant. Now since then I've had to have a cyst removed in August. I went from ovulating on my own to possibly not ovulating since I didn't get a positive on an opk this month. I started Metformin a month ago since I may have PCOS and have trouble losing weight. If I don't ovulate by December the doctor is gonna run a CD21 test on me to see if I'm ovulating. If not she's gonna possibly put me on another fertility drug along with the Metformin to help me out. I guess that would be the next step. Ovaries are clear and uterus is fine. I have no conditions that would interfere except the possible PCOS and weight problem I'm not terribly obese but I need to lose a few. I'm actually 5lbs heavier than what I was when I got pregnant the first time so I know weight isn't the main problem.

I'm just wondering how many have tried this and have had success? Such as diet and exercise along with metformin and clomid to help with ovulation? Or other drugs that were givin. I may also buy some preseed too but if I'm not ovulating what's the point in using it.
