Ahhhh!!! I can't believe tomorrow is the day!!!!!

On BG and in person I've had people tell me that we're infertile because we're suppose to adopt, that I wasn't meant to be a mom or that it's God's way of controlling the population.

My in laws are very Catholic and I they don't believe in IVF or any type of fertility treatment.. They believe in birth control though

Thank you so much for this. I couldn't agree more. I consider myself a Christian woman. I hate the "religion" card, but I find faith and I do believe. I can't believe that there is such hate and bitterness and ignorance surrounding this issue. Every single barren woman in the Bible had a child. Even if it took her until she was 90.


I especially appreciate your comment about desiring to have children. It's not just biology that creates this desire. Not every woman wants to have kids. It's a personal choice as well as God's will (in my opinion). I haven't expressed any of our fertility issues with anyone that we go to church with, for this reason. Glad you are strong enough to talk to others in your church/Bible study group.

OMG That is awful! I haven't had anyone tell me that (yet).

Ya we'll then why does God give kids to teenagers and peopl who are clearly not ready to be parents or should never be parents. Some of my friends are having kids every 18 months. It's sickening! Like ya I wish I had that problem. Don't get me wrong I live my adopted daughter and her BM and I now have more extended family bc if it. But that doesn't mean I don't still want to experience the whole pregnancy thing and having a child who looks like me or has my personality.

IUI is done! Now the wait begins.

It was kinda of uncomfortable for me! Nurse said my cervix was so strong she had a hard time. I had to press down on my lower stomach to make things easier. Holy cramps!

Your welcome! I am lucky to have such supportive parents and they would live grand kids any way they can get them. DH sister was kinda pissed when we were doing fertility treatments bc she's tried for the last 5 yrs to have another and I honk she was mad that we could afford it. But she's only 24 and at least has had a kid before so there's nothing wrong with her she finally accepted that we were gonna adopt and said well if that's what you guys want. She finally got pregnant and is due in may buy who knows if its even her husbands kid.

People don't understand that not being able to have a child and do something that every woman was made to do us like having a child that dies. You grieve over that loss. People on BG were so cruel to me the first time I posted on here that I was looking for a baby to adopt. But I didn't care and I did it again and found my BM.

Fasting bloodwork done this morning to test glucose levels and for hyperinsulinemia. Crossing my fingers these come back normal. My past experience with metformin was no fun so I'm really hoping to avoid taking it. Of course, I will if I need to but I'd rather not have the nausea/inability to eat if I can help it. (unless it's morning sickness, that I'll gladly deal with!)
