re: *OFFICIAL* Fertility Treatment Thread (Clomid, IVF, IUI)

Hey guys I just wanted to check and see what types of meds you have been on?
In case this IUI didn't take I wanted to discuss stronger medications with the RE. I've considered changing RE's which if I could maybe get on something else that may help?
Also, what bloodtests was it that you can get to check if you need metformin? I remember someone telling me about it. I'm going to request that too.
I've only been on Clomid 100mg, Repronex 75 IU, and HCG

I was on Femara and Follistim for my IUI cycles as well as my IVF cycle. I think for the metformin it's a 3 hour glucose tolerance test but Anya may know of others.

Really off topic, but...

My baby fever is going to go sky high soon. My client is due to have her baby on Sunday, and we are hoping to do their session on the 26th if she gives birth soon! I can't wait to pose and play with this little bundle of joy!  

& The next day (27th) I'm doing a maternity session, so I'm going to go BABY CRAZY that weekend lol.

I mean, I love what I do.. I love being a photographer but it's hard when I just want to take the baby and run lol just knowing my time is soon makes it easier but holy baby fever!!!

I guess I'm lucky that it's rare that I have the opportunity to be around a baby, but at the same time when it happens I can't help but love all up on 'em.  

OMG... it's my son's 5th birthday today. My husband posted the most amazing post on FB. I'm at work crying. I can't believe he's 5!!!!

Took my first OPK of the cycle (CD 12). I'm at work and it was really weird taking it in the bathroom here. It was negative (as I assumed it would be). And I guess I'm picking my sperm up tomorrow... I was asked to work an extra day on Friday (for time and a half). Yay!

I'm thinking Valentine's day, but knowing me I'll test about 10 days after I think I ovulated. I'm not doing OPKs or anything, I know that sounds stupid, but I drive myself crazy with them and they cause more stress than good, so this cycle my doctor and I agreed just the clomid and frequent baby dancing, no stressing. Next cycle if I haven't conceived we will do the same clomid, but get tested to see if I ovulated. The third cycle she will up it to 75 if the other two haven't worked.

I'm off today... Have a million things to do... and what am I doing? Sitting infront of the TV watching this week's episode of Teen Mom 2. lol. I'm trying to keep my mind off the next few days. All this free time has me just fixated on our upcoming IUI. I can't believe this is happening. We've been thinking about this since July.

Nervous to call the surgeon in NJ about getting my surgery. He said if I didn't hear from them by today to call. I don't know why I get so nervous about little things like this! Otherwise cleaning up around the house, working on dinner (I like to break it up if I can because I still get dizzy after being on my feet for awhile) and watching Nightmare Next Door. Oh, and being a warm cushy lap for my cat.

It's a surgery! Someone's going to cut inside of your body. I get why you'd be nervous. I hope you get your call

We posted some pics of my son when we had him last night for his birthday...
I guess people don't know us very well because we got comments like, "he looks just like you (my husband)" We get that in public too... my son is not my husband's biological child lol. Jace acts just like my husband, though.

I hope that continues with our next child (because our children won't be his biological children either). The donor we picked though has similar traits.

DH = 6'1" brown hair, blue eyes, scottish, german (basic mutt lol)
Donor = 6'3" brown hair, blue eyes, scottish, french, german

I'm kinda hoping this child looks like me. Jace looks not so much like me.
