It's all worth it though. Just think, some pay that much for a car that depreciates when you drive off the lot...hehehe...Thinking this way makes me feel better. lol

Insurance providers are so fickle despite the fact that insurance isn't free!! I'm hoping that you find another route that meets your needs.

Out of curiosity and for those who are paying for IVF out of pocket, how much did you spend for one cycle. One of the nurses explained to us that one cycle will cost approx. 13k, but we can get 2 cycles for 20k.

If it doesn't work out I sure hope they enjoy paying for months of hospital bedrest.

Thank you so much! Stalk away! Lol I'm glad to meet someone in a similar boat. We've been trying for two years plus a few months of "not trying not preventing".

I'm mostly nervous about all of the "what ifs". What if things don't go the way they should? Trying to stay positive & hope for the best!

Both my REs had very reasonable prices although I can't remember how much it was for just the cycle. With my first we were using my eggs and had to spend about $6,000 just on the meds. We got a credit card with 0% interest for one year and paid it off before that year was up. With my second it was with donor eggs so that was a considerable addition to the cost, although the meds were much less. For that one my parents helped out and we had family friends who were psychologist and lawyer do the psych eval and contract for no cost and since my sister was the donor she didn't require compensation.

That's all we can really do. I'm glad that we can share our stories. I've heard that we have a higher chance of conceiving because IVF allows us to bypass our sole problem (fallopian tubes).

I might be keeping your REs info for safe keeping. Monthly payments with no credit check?

I love him too.   My IVF nurse is a jerk though but no worries if the first letter of your last name is A-L.

I'm very fortunate to live in a mandated coverage state, so I don't know exacts on out of pocket costs without insurance. Sorry I can't be of more help. I can't imagine how much stress that must add to an already stressful situation

I am worried if it comes to IVF because, we both bought new cars and I don't have any credit cards and DH paid his off, so aside from our cars and cell phones we have nothing on credit.

We applied for care credit and private lines of credit and we got denied.

Eta: last name starts with a B, thankfully. Lol
