Did you call your RE's office and tell them you're O'ing? Tomorrow when you go in DEMAND a u/s to see if the follicles are still there. As far as labs go make sure they check your progesterone to see if you ovulated already. If you did O your progesterone would be 1 or over.

I hope you catch the egg! It sounds like what happened to me in October.

**Tons of baby dust*

Not trying to be a downer either. But I still had a positive OPK although I O'ed. Once you O the egg is only viable for 24 hours.

I wish I would have seen this last night but I agree with that advice

I have a question Amelia.. I know it's a sensitive topic and if you don't want to answer you don't have to. Did you get to bury your daughter or no? My mom lost my sister around 18-19 weeks, my sister had down syndrome and a clubbed foot. They ended up doing a d&e I believe, they didn't induce labor but I guess they give you that option? This was way back in 1999. If my mom had the option of cremation or to bury her I wish she did. Do they give you that option if you lose the pregnancy before 20 weeks?

I think that's what I'm going to do. So it would show it gone if I did already o? As for bloodwork I can ask but I'm not sure if they will do it. He's only did one set of bloodwork on me and that's been a year ago when I first saw him.

If you already O'ed the follicles will be gone. Keep up updated!
Your RE should be doing more blood work during your cycles so he can better predict when you'll O. If you don't get a BFP this cycle I'd demand that he tests your E2 and LH every cycle so you don't miss ovulation

I have no issues talking about. It actually helps me quite a lot.

In the hospital I was given two choices: Give her to the hospital for pathology or to a funeral director. So yes, I do believe they give you the option of cremation or burial since I was given the option for her to go to a funeral director. However, that may be because I was in a hospital that admits 14 weeks and up into L&D.

I didn't want to go through a formal burial and if I could have taken her home myself I would have chosen that. But now in hindsight I'm glad I chose hospital because her pathology (all normal) supports the diagnosis of IC. That plus the fact that she still had a HB at the OB just a few hours prior to my ER visit are the only real documented proof that her loss wasn't because of infection or chromosome abnormality etc. The rest is all anecdotal and I fear my insurance will try to use that as an out for my surgery.

I believe that (now anyway) they do actually try to induce labor before going to D&C. In my case D&C wasn't even mentioned until after I delivered her and couldn't deliver the placenta. I'm grateful they didn't just go ahead and do a D&C when I was in the ER because I wouldn't have had the opportunity to hold her.

You are very very strong, I am very envious of the strength you have with this.

Because of this thread and speaking with alot of you and it making me google alot, I actually schedule a pre conception appointment with a high risk OB-GYN, to make sure everything clicks with him, and I plan on asking alot of questions.

I am really hopeful for you Amelia that when you do the next transfer, that it sticks and everything is a full and healthy and happy 40 weeks!

Thank you. I'll be honest with you though, I'm just really, really stubborn. Didn't work so well for me when I was a kid but it's mostly a benefit to me now.

Good for you getting a preconception appointment! That's pretty much what I did with the new OB and it made me feel tons better. Can't wait to see the new peri.

I'm waiting now. I told them and showed them my tests and asked them if I could have a ultrasound and she said that the ky kills sperm and it would be up to the re to decide whether to do it or not. So now I'm just waiting.

You are so strong! My heart still breaks for you. I'm glad you know that IC is the issues so next time around you won't have to suffer with this again. *hugs*

I was around 10 when my mom lost my sister but I still remember it clearly. I came home from school, she was in bed crying and told me that the baby died. When my stepdad came home we went to the hospital and she had out patient surgery, I waited in the waiting room doing my homework. I'm not sure how long it took but they put my mom under and the first thing she asked myself and the doctor is "What did I have? Is it a boy or girl?" They told her that my sister was a girl. I think my mom did send her to pathology because she later found out that she had a xxx chromosomal abnormality. My mom will never talk about my sister and my mom is slow(in general).. I'm not saying it to be mean she's slow she doesn't understand pregnancy/trying to get pregnant so she hasn't really been able to answer any of my questions.

Do they shove the KY up in your uterus?

Sorry I couldn't help it. That sounds so silly!

I just dont even know where to START with the questions!

I am having an elective c section due to nerve damage in my back, I have limited feeling in my vagina area now, and I dont think I would be able to feel correctly to give birth vaginally.
Also I am borderline type 2 diabetic, so good chance the baby will be big anyway! Plus my thyroid is a concern, because my RE believes I have
Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and while it is medicine life long, it requires VERY close monitoring for pregnant Women.

I am very stubborn as well, and very control freakish. It works well the older I get, but I get unnerved if I make plans and they dont go just right. I just get overly prepared for alot, and I like having all the what ifs sorted out before I ever do anything, it drives DH nuts. I like making sure I have a back up plan at all times!
