too much pressure!

  I am seriously in a world of hurt! I am 14 weeks with baby #2 (my son was born in Sept. 07)...and the pressure I am feeling in my pelvis is unbearable!!   my Dr. warned me that there would be "some pressure" since my body didn't really have enough time to "heal" from my last pregnancy, but this is seriously too much.

I have been feeling this pressure for the past month and it just intensifies by the day...anyone have some helpful hints or home remidies to help sooth the PRESSURE?

I have been trying to sleep on my left side, but even that is painful...the only position that is comfortable is on my back for about 30 min. or so, then I feel my "baby bump" sinking into my spine -- great visual huh!

Keep a pillow between your knees. It will align your spine. You should do this even when not pregnant, if you sleep on your side. Also, try sleeping as straight as you can. Don't cock your hips/butt back. It throws your spine way off. You might want to invest in a belly wedge, and you should definitely get a contoured head pillow. It keeps your neck aligned, which helps with neck and shoulder strain, and also helps keep the rest of your spine in good condition.

I was in the maternity store yesterday and there was a girl in there with the same issue. She bought a maternity band to help lift everything up. Maybe that will help!!

Oooh, belly braces. That's a good idea. OP, you might want to look into seeing a prenatal chiropractor too. They can fix the problem before it gets much worse.

You guys are great!! I am botling to babiesrus.com right now for a belly band!! I had forgotten all about them. I didn't have one with my last pregnancy, but a friend of mine said it was her "life saver"!!

ive been having the same pain since about 17 weeks and im 28 weeks now..I found putting a pillow between my legs help a lot..You babys probably head down or laying low b/c thats how my baby girl is..Shes been head down since 17 weeks maybe ealier
