Energy saving bulbs

Soo i see how your are supposed to cut down energy use with these new bulbs *and i have a few* but i never knew they contained mercury! On the news tonight they were talking about it and its dangers.. tommorrow they will continue and show how to properly clean it if the bulb shatters.. now they also mentioned a women in the states who smashed one by accident and spent $200,000 to get it cleaned..

holy crap!!! i didn't know any of that, either...but one blew in my room the other day, and omggggggg did it stink!!

Yeah, I knew that.

Not too worried, though. I don't think I've ever had a light bulb of any type break.

Though I did once have the globe from my ceiling fan shatter into hundreds of shards and go flying all over my room (and amazingly, not one scratch on me).

My grandmother's ceiling fan fell off onto her bed. This happened a few days after she had died, and if she hadn't died, the fan would have fallen on her in her sleep. No joke...it was creepy weird.
