re: I'm going CRAZY trying to find the perfect car seat!!!!

posted 30th Apr
I'm getting the Britax Roundabout car seat.  It's a convertible, so it will probably be the only one we buy, plus it's supposed to be smaller than the other Britax ones to better fit into compact cars.  I haven't used it yet (due in August lol) but in my "Baby Bargains" book it had really high safety & parent ratings.

most car seats dont fot in carts. they now make them not to because it is not safe. also just because you can carry them does not mean you have to. it can be left in the car.

the roundabout is out growen by 3-4 years old so you will need to a buy car seat with a higher harness at that time.

I'm aware that she will eventually outgrow it.
What I mean is that this particular seat lasts from infancy up to toddlerhood, eliminating the need to have separate seats for infancy, older babyhood, and the beginning of toddlerhood.  That plus the high safety ratings and more compact size of this seat convinced us to purchase this one.  Plus, even though this seat is over $200, in the long run it is still more cost effective than purchasing three different seats.
