Baby Slings

posted 29th Apr
Ok, so I have gotten 3 of these cute slings/carriers to carry the baby in like over your shoulder, which I love love love, and think they are precious, but how practical are they for you moms that have used them?? Does your baby like them and want to stay in them??

i haven't used one. I bought a baby snugli but I don't think i'd put a newborn in it because it doesn't support the arms or legs. I want to get like a big cloth sling one. I see ladies come into my work all the time with them (I work at a childrens clothing store) and the babies seem to like them. a lot of the time they are sleeping in them so they must be comfy. I think newborns like to be wrapped tight in them and close to the mother's heartbeat because it's like being in the womb again..

both my son and I loved my babysling. I also had a bjorn thingy that was useless, really hard to use when you have no one to help you put the baby in it, JMO

my son Jack loves one of the two slings I have. He absolutely hates the other one, but it could be because he doesn't like to be snuggled up.

Awe, i want one so bad and haven't found one anywhere. I guess looking online would be the best bet. Can't you use them like tons of different ways?

We had a sling rider when Will was little and I loved it. Very convienent not only for chores and stuff but also for going to the store and running errands around town.

I tried the sling, the baby bjorn, and the big cloth wrap sling. My daughter hated the regular sling, I hated the baby bjorn and we both love the big cloth wrap! I found mine at mayawrap.com and I love love love it! You can use it so many different ways and it keeps her so calm and relaxed to be all snuggled up to you!

Well I got mine as a gift tonight, and I have never really seen them anywhere but a baby boutique or the high end baby stores. I was never gonna pay $50, so that's why I was glad to get it as a gift. I actually saw one the other day that was $75, so I am thinking $50 was actually a good price for them. I will see if I can find one cheaper, and if I do, I will definitely let you know.
