23 week micropreemie (Warning: Pics)

Found this fan page for a micropreemie born at 23 weeks gestation. I thought I'd share it as it could be inspirational to all of you mama's to preemies or those going through pre-term labor issues

Avery Jean was born on 2/29/12, at just 23 weeks gestation. She measured 11 inches long, and was 1lb 5oz. She was born 17 weeks early, due to a placental abruption. Avery has 6 older brothers waiting for her at home.

(ages are approximate as I can only go by the day the photo was posted)

A few days old 1lb 1oz

Aww so precious. I almost had my twins at 30 weeks and a girl next to me had hers at 28 weeks. It's so amazing what they can do now for premie babies <3

That is such a miracle. My son was born at 21 weeks and 6 days but I lost him after 2 days. Her family is blessed with an earth angel.

She's beautiful! My niece was born 27 weeks,so all the machinery and such is so familiar to me.She's such an itty bitty beauty.I just want to hold her little bitty hand.

I went into labor at 33 weeks with my twins and was given IV meds to stop it. So thankful they could bake for another 3 weeks. I got to bring them home after only 2 days in the hosp. They were very healthy!

My son was born at 23 weeks 2 days. However we didn't get the happy ending my little nolyn passed at 27 days when his kidneys failed and other organs started to fail too. Glad to see this baby is doing so well.

I went into labor at 33 weeks and had to be life lighted to a bigger city in order for my son to get the proper care. They tried to stop my contractions but failed. I ended up having him after 37.5 hours of labor, and he was 4 lbs 13 oz. I was 34 weeks pregnant. He was only in NICU for 8 days. He didn't have any breathing problems or anything. He just needed to gain weight. He is now almost 1 month old and as healthy as can be. I love him so much.

Thank you. I try to be the best mommy I can to Kaleb and I remember every day that nolyn is watching over us.

i am 31 weeks now and have been in the hospital for 2 weeks and 2 days i have ni fluid because i rupsured months ago baby is doing good now we are just waiting for him to come i hope we canmake it to 34 weeks if not i no he will be ok in my heart i love him so much he is going to be my little angle when he gets here.

omg my baby boy was 5 weeks prem and weighed 5lb 3oz i thought he was small and he was in special care for 3 days and it killed me seeing him the way he was stuck to machines and his 6 sisters were constantly asking why he was ill.you're little girl is beautiful and i hope you had plenty of support cos i know i needed it good luck to you and you're family xxxx
