keep him in your prayers

A friend of mine from high school had to have her baby delivered by c-section this afternoon and her son was born at 23 weeks. the doctors do not know what caused her to go into labor so early, but they had to go ahead with the 'section if there was any chance of survival..the little boy was flown to a nearby NICU about 2 hours away..his name is Jedidiah and his mom won't be able to see him for a couple days until she recovers from the surgery and is well enough to go see him...thanks!!

I will keep him in my prayers. I didn't know they even tried to do anything for babies born before 24 weeks. Hopefully he is a a little fighter! My cousin was born at 24 weeks and he is a healthy 9 year old now, he is small for his age but other than that he is completely fine!

thank you!   I had no idea either. in fact, I thought the earliest they could do anything for a baby born anywhere near this early was at 25 weeks. he is one strong little boy! it's amazing what they could do for babies born that early in the 2000's.

Well hopefully her little boy is a fighter and will get strong and be able to come home around his due date or whenever he gains enough weight. My cousin came home with oxygen and a couple other monitors on his due date and he had to be on oxygen and monitors for like a month after he was home but other than that he was a normal baby, just smaller than others but that was to be expected.
