Breast and formula feeding anyone?

Does anyone breastfeed and use formula too? I hate pumping, its so exhausting for me so I usually breastfeed my daughter during the day (sometimes adding formula too) and most of the night feedings my husband feeds her formula

My question is how long did your supply last doing that?

Maks is almost 8 months and we do this, he was 5 months when i started supplementing, i still bf him 3 times a day and he gets 3 cups of 6 oz formula plus his foods... i use fenegreek pills also i started that 2 weeks ago because i was only able to breast feed him 2 times a day before... you'll find a balance just dont give up completley lol

Oh wow thats awesome! I want to keep breastfeeding for as long as possible but shes used to formula/bottles so she only latches for like 10 minutes

We haven give both since our daughter was 3 weeks old. Nurse all day, bottle before bed and then she would nurse 2-3 times at night. She is a year, I'm 6 week pregnant and my supply is still good! But she is starting to self wean the last week or so.

I was big into pumping so my kids all got bottles either way lol at aroun 5 months tho when I noticed supply going down I started putting him on breast and he did good now I don't pump anymore, he just breast feeds or takes his cups lol

Are you separated from her at night time, preventing you from nursing her?

I would read up on the dangers of formula, the missing content, how it changes their gut permanently etc, before thinking it's simply a more convenient option.

She only latches for 10 minutes total each time, and lets go A LOT, I have tried nipple shields, pumping and even had several lactation consultants try to help but no luck, plus she got used to a bottle while in the NICU and I tried to pump as much as I could but it wasnt enough and she would get formula

Dean was a nicu baby... so I know how all that goes I wasnt allowed to breastfeed him so I pumped and gave him in bottle... and he liked the bottle as well I tried to get him to latch when he finally came home but he was already used to bottle... that's why I always with all my babies just pumped and gave to them in bottles... and dean had gastro intestinal issues and drs said even he was ok to get formula and breast milk... just talk to ur dr.
Like I sad maks is almost 8 months and he's formula and bf and his dr was surprised I was still able to bf.
