Getting a breech baby to move into position

posted 5th May '12
A friend of mine is approaching her due date, and baby is breech. Any ideas on how to encourage baby to move into position? TIA

Don't know why I didn't think of that!

Laying upside-down in the pool. Getting on her hands and knees and doing "pelvic rocking" helps the baby to move too. Is she too far along to try the ECV?

Her doctor hasn't even mentioned it. But then again her doctors aren't super attentive as her husband is military.

Ask her to ask her OB if she is eligible for the ECV. I had one done at 36 weeks and it worked until DD flipped an hour later! lol
If her doctors don't think she is eligible for one then see if she can find a chiropractor who will align her hips & spine to help the baby move. Or if she wants she can try moxibustion (sp). It is a form of incense combined with acupuncture used to stimulate the baby to help them move into birthing position.

Thanks for all the information. =D
