Can it put me into labor?

I want to sign up for this walk around our city. Its supposed to be really long. (Of course I would do only what I could) It'sfor breast cancer but its about a week and a halfbefore my due date. Its doesnt cost money so I wont lose out. But can that put me into labor so close to my due date walking so much?

walking doesn't usually put u into labor...it just helps speed it up if you are already in labor...but u still don't want to overdo any type of activity.

that close to your due date,it wouldn't matter if you did go into labor.

Do it! You'll be 38.5 weeks so if it does cause you to go into labor...no big deal! Have fun, but take it slow, and stay hydrated!!

It won't put you into labor but it can help the process out if your body is ready. I say go for it as long as your doctor says it's ok closer to the time.

I know it wouldnt matter Im just asking so I can be prepared. So walking cant start labor? Only speeds it up?

yep...

You can sign up for it, but by the time you're that far along, you probably won't feel like walking that much. Just don't overdue it.

It won't hurt.
My mom walked a 6 mile marathon when she was about 7½ months pregnant with me..
but even if you did go into labor it probably wouldn't be a big deal since you are so close.
