College students, fafsa appeals question

posted 3rd May '12
So DH is a college student and recently appealed because of academic probation. He needed to fill out a SAP appeal to be eligible for the pell grant. I checked online and it says he was approved. I know he is on academic probabtion still, but it means he is eligible for the grant now. My question is what happens now, do we get the funds he was awarded for this semester? How long does that take? His financial aid counselor is always MIA so I was hoping to get an answer from someone here after all the googling Ive been trying. tIA!

Go talk to FA office ASAP, they'd help you out faster and can give you or gather any forms and process them faster.
