Weird period

So I got my period. I was so happy. I seriously thought I was pregnant because SO and I had a bit of a scare. I took 2 tests. One I took a week before my period. It was negative. Then I took another one the morning before I got my period. It was also negative, of course.

But the blood's been really weird. It's almost mucus-like. It's not really red either, it's almost magenta. I haven't had sex or anything before my period started. It doesn't seem like it's mixed with anything. Also, I think my periods already over. It wasn't even a whole 2 days. I'm on BC but this has never happened before.

Also my back is killing me. I usually have cramps in the front but this time they're only in my back.

Ever happen to anyone else?

I don't want to scare you but that is how my miscarriage started out.

But even though I had 2 negative tests? Honestly it was in the back of my mind. I had really sore boobs, which never happens, I had horrible heart burn (which only happened when I was pregnant.) And if I should call my doctor or just wait it out.

I agree. This sounds like a miscarriage to me. But, if you are on bc and this isn't an off week, it might just be hormones or something. I would call my ob.

I would call your doctor just to be safe. If you are miscarrying you need to be sure that everything comes out so you don't get an infection.

I agree. Sounds like an early miscarriage. They are often mistaken for a period.

SO and I decided it was fine for us to have sex and him being about to finish. We used a condom, but with our luck it broke. First condom we used in years of course. Brand new and everything. Then I go home and realize I was a day behind my pill. I missed 2 days before that because LO was super sick. I wasn't on the pill for that long before that. I was freaking out that whole month. Idk. I might be over thinking things.

Also, I had a really shape pain in my uterus area before I got my period. It wasn't super painful, it was just annoying. I have a pretty high pain tolerance though. Idk if that'd be another sign

this does sound like a miscarriage hun. Call your doc to get checked out. Worse case senerio is we are all wrong and your body is just doing something weird, which.. is normal! lol!

I will. Thank you guys. Hopefully it's just something weird. I was sick so maybe it's just a combination of things messing up my cycle. I've been meaning to call my doctor about my BC anyway.

I have had a period like that. It has been weird lately.. I had an early mc and it was not like that. just blood and blood clots and definatly more than 2 days but after my mc my period have been weird 3 in jan all light then feb 26 and then 9 days ago which was 22 days late and only lasted 2 days/ Try not to worry
