How is everyone?
With summer break upon us i know we have busier schedules. As nice as it is to NOT be making school runs for a few weeks Faith DESPERATELY needs to be in school. Her energy level is through the roof..
Faith started on the Ritalin and it helped so much. But it made her VERY aggressive. I stopped it and now she's on Tenex. She started it last night. They said it would make her sleepy and oh wow... She was first to sleep last night, laid on my bed all morning watching OPB and was the first down for nap.... 3 hours down and shes STILL out!! She's taking 1/2 a tab at night and in like a week we go to 1/2 at night and 1/4 in the am.. Eventually working up to 1/2 at night and 1/2 in the AM.
We went in yesterday and had blood drawn for the genetic testing.. I told Faith ahead of time that we were going for them to take her blood. I have to get labs regularly and they go with me every time. When we got in there I told the woman that she was special needs, very scared and very strong. She was AMAZING with Faith. Kept everything hidden until the last minute, talked to her, made sure her help knew what Faith needed and was quick, one try. Faith was also fantastic, she didnt cry or scream or fight! She was breathing really shallow and fast like she wanted to freak out but I think she was almost too scared too. I had to fight crying when she was done because of how well she did. I dont know how long it will take to get results. I will hear from Neuro again end of this week or early next week and go in again July 5th so I'll ask then if i havent heard anything.

Alright mamas I need some good thoughts and/or prayers this morning! I have a job interview for a part time position. The thing is that place has AMAZING benefits and a friend of mine set me up for the interview this morning. Her son also has SPD and her work has been supporting her through the therapy her son has been receiving. Her benefits have been paying a a part of the speech/Occupational therapy in a private clinic and her work has been footing the balance of her bills! They are also a huge partner for a special education private elementary school. That school is very expensive but have sponsored her son and payed 60% of the tuition. They are renowned for autism and severe speech disabilities. I want this so bad!!!
They were very interested in having me work there, have already stated that my schedule would be very flexible depending on the needs for therapy etc. Then they asked what I thought of specialized education!
I need this job sooooo bad! Things are a little tight and if I work we could go private, it's expensive ($120/hr for speech, now make that 3 hours a week times 3 kids...now double the fee for OT times 2hours a week times 2 kids ) but the service is so much better and get the kids therapy to the amount they need instead of once a week from the hospital. Plus a specialized school?! This would be a HUGE blessing for us!
I'm so nervous!!! Send me some good vibes girls! I can't seem to stay put I'm so fidgety and nervous lol. I know there are 3 more ladies /SN mom's having an interview also today. AARRGGHH!!!! Lets hope I don't throw up during the interview lol. I have 1000 butterflies in my stomach lol.

Just got back. The interview went really well! They are especially happy with the fact that I'm 100% bilingual spoken/written in French and English. That's good because I'm in an area where you get both french and english communities. Most of my work experience is also in the position I applied for.
He said I was the strongest applicant so far but was the third. There was another one after me and I know she is bilingual as well, we were talking french together in the waiting room. She brought her diplomas and a huge list of work experience. She was a little older too, in her 40's and has about 20 years experience under her belt. She seemed very confident too She is serious competition...
At least he will call back to say if I do get a second interview or not. I'm so damn stressed lol. The salary is good, the benefits are awesome, the schedule flexible. Only hick is that it's full time, not part time. But I'm willing to go for it still.

My MIL is taking Dagon for three days...Wed, Thr, and Fri she thinks she can have him potty trained in these three days. I drop him off at noon tomorrow with his new potty chair and extra changes of clothes. I guess we will see what happens. lol.
