I've never heard of it either til i moved out here to Colorado. I'm from Ohio and we let girls hair grow til they decide they want it cut and shave boys on their first birthday. A lot of people out here talk about it and none has been for ritual or cultural purposes

Is very difficult i assure you lol. We're exact opposites but we help balance each other out. The whole subject is a big fight, which i hate, but I'm not cool with it. He tells me if i shave my head I'll look retarded and he won't have sex with me. All well! Haha and if my poor baby girl has to be bald cause his stupidity then why not share the agony.

My SIL shaved her daughter's head and it took forever to come back. When it did there was still patches trying to grow in. It felt really rough after it grew back.

I would punch a guy if he shaved my babies head. That's idiotic.

Hair is naturally tapered, when shaved, the ends are blunt giving it the appearance of being thicker- but it is not.

I'm seriously thinking about hot waxing his pubes if he does it. All the girls in my family have uber thin hair and he dont understand that. I just hope he decides to agree with me and not.
