sensory processing? (wont wear shoes anymore)

My daughter has refused to wear shoes for the past 2 days now. She has autism so I think it might be sensory processing. Every time I try to put them on her she has a hysterical fit and kicks them off and throws them. I have tried bigger shoes, sandles, and her regular shoes and she will not wear any of them. I just dont know what to do. I had to send her to school in just socks this morning because she wouldnt keep her shoes on. We do not have a regular OP but she sees one at school and they dont contact me so I have no way of expressing my concerns. Has any one had this happen with there little one and if so what can I do to help it. She is in a wedding in a week and I have a feeling she will be walking down the isle barefoot

have you considered slippers? they do have so mant light weight ones out there and if she is tollerating socks that may help.. My son would not wear shoes for 3 years and for him it was elmo slippers. He wore them everywhere.... rain or shine... the clinic even called him little mister elmo! but it was foot wear and it was exceptable for us. Then we went into soft sole moccisions for about another 2 years. Then one day out of the blue he asked for real shoes like grandpa and he happily headed to go shopping for new shoes. THe more we tried to push the shoes the worse it was. so we decided we would pick our battles. i hope that helps

we got her some soft sole water shoes and she will wear those for a short amount of time but its better then nothing
