No i dont have links because I dont sit in front of my pc and google everything in the world to scare myself to death- we have been giving vit K and silver nitrtae and all these other vaccines for MANY MANY years and there is not an "epidemic" of adverse effects proven by anyone- plus you failed to read what I said about EVERY SINGLE MED out there having risks INCLUDING death- you even hear the disclaimers on TV when they advertise new meds that a possibleRARE severe side effect is death- it is the price we pay to be a DEVELOPED country and not one where we die at the age of 10 -20 yrs old anymore. Before we had vaccines 30 was considered OLD. You were lucky to live that long in thoses ages. I think the medical community has worked wonderful leaps and bounds and without such things we wouldnt be where we are today- everything in medicine does have risks- we have to accept to choose those risksor go back to the days of a flu epidemic being a terminal illness like when it was in the 1800's. There are many organizations out there that are "out to get" the medical community and blame them for everything they can. Our society is a place of "blame" anymore- and it really saddens we that people do not see just how far we have really come in erradicating certain illnesses and decreasing the occurence of others.

Yes, there are certainly risks with everything. And we have the responsibility as parents to determine what those risks are exactly and how willing we are to take them. I am not willing to take an increased risk of death for a synthetic K shot that hasn't been proven to help anything. Just because we've used it for years doesn't make it safe. Hell, doctors have been wrong before, in lots of situations....look at all of the drug recalls we've had that doctors happily wrote prescriptions for. We were advised to give babies aspirin for fever and to severely restrict weight gain in pregnancy. Medical authorities are not gods; they are fallible just like you and me.

And just because parents question things and want to learn does not mean the medical community is being targeted. It means parents want to make an informed choice in their children's healthcare.

I did not keep up with minevery good. The most that my dr would do was 4 so that is only one more than yours. It is not cruel.

If you do choose to vaccinate it is soooooo important to vaccinate ON TIME EVERY TIME. When you become a parent your child becomes your priority and it is your responsibility to make sure that baby gets what they need. And it is cruel to make your baby go threw getting multiple vaccinations because you were acting irresponsible. Vaccinations not only hurt they cause fever, diarreah upset tummies and they are just a miserable experiance all around, so yes it is cruel.

We will vaccinate, but on a delayed schedule. The silver nitrate in the eyes and Vit K are fine, just not the stronger stuff. We are going to try and hold off, with the approval of the doc, till two years at the earliest and possibly wait till school.

There is just too much uncertainty. Why risk it as the gov. looks into it.

Our two boys had shots on schedule and are fine, suffering no noticable effects, but all of the recent coverage has alerted us to the POTENTIAL risk factors of vaccinations.

We will just hold off a bit.
