Help.. Question about our ultrasound today..

Well we had our ultrasound today and we found out we are having a boy!! I am 19 weeks 2 days off original ultrasound due date and today was confirmed a due date of 9/19 only 1 day than before. One question I have for those of you who have had your 18-20 week ultrasound done already is how much did your baby weigh? I was given an estimate today by the person who did our ultrasound of 1 lb. 10 ounces.... Seem's like a lot to me.. We even asked her if that was normal and she said yes he's right on track... Okay like my book says the baby should be around 10 ounces.. What the heck is up with that??? Please help ladies.....

Congrats...They are never correct with the weight though but that is way more then it should be... Id ask about that lol

When I went at 19 weeks my little girl was measured and the doctor said she weight 10 ounces. So I guess your little man is just a little big.

At 23 weeks, my baby's weight was 1 lbs 3 oz (approximately)
he was born 7lbs 2 oz

congrats on the baby boy!!! i am having a boy too. july 2nd. all three of my kids weighed around a pound at 19-20 weeks. i never go by ultrasound weight though. it's just a guess anyway. they are only going by the measurements which weall know some babies are longer than others. they thought my daughter was going to be 8-9lbs and she was 7lbs. and they said my son would be 9lbs and he was 8lbs. i never get too worked up about exact weight or due dates. they rarely are right. it's just an idea of when you will be delivering your baby bundle. congrats again though. boys are so much fun.

i had my second u/s at 26 weeks (i think!!) and she weighted 1 lb 11 oz then and my doc thinks when shes born shell be close to 8 lbs..good luck!!!  

hey congrats!!! when i had my U/S at 20 weeks, the tech said the baby was 15 ounces, tht s just shy of 1 lb, but most ppl say not to go by tht weight!!!

Maybe a stupid question but- I don't understand how they can tell down to the specific day how far you are with an ultrasound. If they go by size how can they tell down to the day- all babies aren't the same size.

Can someone explain that to me.

Thank you ladies... I really think the lady meant to say one or the other.. Likely 10 ounces according to like every book I have and all the online info I can find.. LOL .. I just felt kinda freaked out once that set in! It is so far off though that I really think she made a human error in telling me that weight... But i'm still calling my doctor first thing in the morning! LOL

Thanks to everyone for their help.. I spoke to my doctor yesterday and told him my concern.. He let out a little laugh and told me that the baby was ZERO pounds 10 ounces... LOL.. So right on track..
