I would bring him in the bathroom with the door closed for humidity.

Or boil a pan of water off to create some humidity.

The first of the two would be more efficient.

How do i do that without overheating him?

I was going to suggest run the shower and strip him down to diaper and shut your bathroom door to hold in the steam then maybe it will loosen up to suction out better. He shouldn't get too hot after a few minutes just take him out of the bathroom and redress him.

Google Nosefrida, it is amazing and works so well!! I would also say take him into the bathroom while its all steamed up to loosen it up.

I guess i could always just bring in a thermetor and suction him in there as a good time limit. Then if he gets too hot during it Ill be able to just bring him out. Its hard because he has to always wear clothes and if he is in a diaper even at the doctor they try to keep him covered with a blanket and he cant ever just go from clothed to bare skin the temp changes back and forth are hard on him......but its looking to be the best option so far. Ill just have to bring him in with the room ready strip him,suck his nose, swaddle and bring him out ....or possibly change the shower temp so the room adjusts slowly back to normal?

maybe wrap a blanket around him until it get warm enough in the bathroom then take the blanket off with him just in the diaper that way his temp doesn't drop to much.

Has anyone tried putting vicks on your finger and just sitting your finger under the nose? or a hot rag?

well i did put vicks in water before and hold my child over the water so she would breathe in the steam and vapors but she was about 2 years old so not sure how well that would work for a child that young.

Johnson's has a bath soap with vics in it u could try or u could put vics in the bottom of the tub where the running hot water is when u do the steam thing

my little one had issues with his temp as well....but the bathroom and shower idea shouldn't over heat him....just when your done shut off the shower and turn on the fan for a few then dress him then open the door .. kinda in steps ya know so he is not going is drastic temp changes...and i can only think that if the bulb is not "getting it all" than you are probably hearing the drainage and there is not much to do about that except to keep him elevated

vicks and water btw ladies does not mix and will coat you lil one in the grease which does not come off easily luckily it got on me instead of my lil one
