Is it it normal my 2wk old wants to feed every 45 to 1 hr. He eats real good to about 10 to 15 min each side, but its just so tiring

My son is 2 weeks 2 days old and sometimes he will go 45 minutes between feedings, sometimes 2 hours, but never longer than 2.5 or 3 hours between. Our pedi said it's completely normal because they usually go through a growth spurt around 2 weeks.
As long as he is having enough wet/dirty diapers a day, he is getting enough.

ETA: It can be really frustrating sometimes, and my nipples are still super sore, but I try to think about it as the more he eats, the more supply I will have, and the quicker my nipples will toughen up! (hopefully)

my son ate every 1-2 hours during the day for the first 8 months.

Mine is doing the same .... my poor nipples lol

Oh yeah. I got nothing done the first few months.. Even now I barely get anything done at 7 months but I think he's just having some separation anxiety.

Yes my nipples hurt so bad, I hope hell start lasting atleast 2hrs before needing to eat again

Are you putting nipple cream on ? I <3 the Medela tender care brand .

I've been using the Lansinoh Lanolin cream.. have you found the Medela to work better?? I've been breastfeeding for two weeks now and am still having pain, even using the Lansinoh after every feeding.

I was using the Lansinoh that they gave me in the hospital, but I feel like I have to use more of it , with the Mesela It's a bit thicker and seems to work a little better for me .
