I just kept getting up to nurse him.

but by 6 months, I "gave up" and let him co-sleep and OMG, it's SO much easier and I love it. Wish I had done it earlier.

DD slept in a bassinet right next to the bed for the first 4 weeks. She has been in her crib since, she sleeps better in crib, and DH gets her and puts her back to bed after she nurses. We have eliminated all but one night time feeding. If she was in bed with me, she would nurse more and we would all get less sleep.

This is what I do. Pull her out to nurse, put her back when she is done. has worked for the last 4 months with us

my DD is in bed with me most often, but we also have a bassinet set up next to the bed so she has her own space too.
it's so much eeasier to have her in the same room, even when she's not in the same bed!

It's easy... I just lay him back in his bed when he's done nursing...
I don't want to risk rolling on him, or him getting squished into the pillows or something.

I couldn't imagine. I have been breastfeeding my daughter for 3 years, in which she only recently stopped night nursing. And smurf I could never wake up and get up and feed, I am way to lazy for that.

I'm going to breastfeed this baby and I'm not co-sleeping. I'm putting the babies bassinet right beside my bed so all I have to do is sit up.

I nursed my daughter (now 4) until she was 6 months (had to stop because I got a dbl ear infection and strep), she slept with me at first (about a month) but then she was in her cradle at the end of my bed until she could use her crib. We all got good sleep and we were all content. I am 6 mths along with my son and plan on doing the same, but hopefully get to nurse longer!
