When yaw'll brought your baby home from the NICU did yaw'll have troubles with being able to put your baby down? We have been home since March 12. She did good at first, but now when I put her down she screams bloody murder like I'm abandoning her and I don't know what to do...

Mine wasn't in the NICU. He's a term baby, but he still cries everytime I put him down. I'm non-CIO, so I just hold him.

My son was in the NICU for 11 weeks. When he came home, he wsn't too picky about being held. But he wouldn't sleep unless he was swaddled.

I wished I could have swaddled dean, he used to bust out as soon as I folded him   but he was famous for pulling at his ivs and hitting his silo... sooo I figured he just didn't like being restrained lol

She is ok for a few minutes in a swing a rocker. The baby carrier I want is out of stock. She goes to sleep at night fine with or without being swaddled. I didn't know if it had something to do with when she saw me in the NICU I would be holding her and so now she thinks I'm supposed to be holding her when she sees me. And yes I am southern

I had that problem with my son, but he loved being swaddled. SO my mom told me to swaddle him at night in my shirt that i had been wearing all day, then he could smell me and he wouldnt be so upset. and on the times that he wouldnt let me swaddle him, i just used my shirt like it was a blankie. It might sound weird, but it worked for him. They also have those heartbeat bears, and ive heard alot of moms i know used those to help them out.

I didn't have that problem with my son. I think he was better than my non-NICU baby because he was use to not being held 24/7 anyways. He was good as long as we snuggled him up good in his blankie.
