Diaper Rash

Okay everyone! Which in your honest opinion is better, diaper cream or diaper powder??

Cream because the powder can be inhaled and cause problems.

cream, never use powder.
The only cream we ever used was triple paste.

i always used diaper rash cream, specifically bordeaux butt paste.

i only use baby powder for things like my shoes or my hair if i've ran out of dry shampoo. i've never put it on my son for fear that he would inhale it.

I've been using both. Oops. I usually put powder on his diaper before I put the diaper on him. I guess I'll switch to cream full-time.

None of the above. A baking soda bath and some time without a diaper works wonders. Also, don't use baby wipes, just a paper towel or soft cloth with warm water.
I might also swab on some witch hazel, which is very soothing to the skin, if the rash were severe.

air out the bottom, give an oat meal bath ( you can reg non instant oatmeal toss in the food processor and then dump it in the bath) or a baking soda bath. you even make a baking soda water paste and put in on the rash.
baby powder's are not recommended as it can be inhaled and if it's a yeast rash it can make it worse.

I do nappy free time after every feed for 20 min or so I also use aloe vera straight from the plant as well it's fantastic.

Johnsons diaper rash cream SUCKS. We used it for almost a week and the rash only got worst. We swiched to desatin..Instant relife and maximum strenght. It worked for a little while, but the rash never really fully went away, I tried the letting her air out method..But she pee's and poops so often it was really hard to do because we have coin laundry and cant aford for her to waste all over everything we own.. She was BF'd at the time..so i read that changing the childs diet or even your diet if your are BFing.. will help.. So we changed diapers, wipes and our diets.. and it finnaly went away.

Hahah that's funny, my mom brought be a big tub of desitin when she came to visit us the other day. Yeah same with my boy, he pooped on my couch yesterday when I tried to let him air out. So gross.

put a prefold cloth diaper on without a cover. it will contain the poop and light pees but still let air circulate.
