This birth control...

Ortho tri cyclen lo is making me mad!

On top of the sweating, headaches, my chest feeling heavy, and the constant cramping... Now I'm puking my brains out, so nauseous, fatigued and my boobs hurt so bad i can't even touch them!

What the heck is wrong with this crap!!! I feel like I'm falling apart.
Will this start to go away or should i just stop these pills?
Can i stop them even before I go to my ob gyn and tell him how they are making me feel? i can't take another day of this.

I love that BC for myself, but if it's giving you that bad of side effects I'd just stop it and talk to your OB about something different you can take. Kind of odd that one is giving you that many bad side effects.

I would call and let your dr office know what's going on and ask if you can stop them   That doesn't sound like fun!

You don't have to ask to stop them OP, just stop them and tell your Dr. why you did.

Me too, i've had side effects from other bc before but never this much or this many at one time. and i don't take anything else except a multivitamin.

i was really hoping this bc would finally work for me. i've been on so many other bc and they do the same thing! ugh. i'm so pissed.

I'd stop them and talk to your doctor about something new.

Like I said, listen to your body. It obviously does not like synthetic hormones. If you react this way to all bc's you've tried you shouldn't be on hormonal birth control.

Thanks, I'm glad I'm okay too, but it was a long road to recovery.

i've tried pills, patches, nuvaring.

The dr. won't give me the shot. He said i have had too many side effects to the pills, patches, and nuvaring that he doesn't even want to do the shot.. i don't understand really. i will try almost anything right now.

we aren't going to ttc for a couple months but could turn into more.....

i feel hopeless.

Those are all hormonal birth controls. They only non hormonal birth control available is Paragard IUD or condoms. Your body doesn't like synthetic hormones, that's what it keeps telling you. I would listen before something happens.

I'm not on any birth control. I can't take hormonal bc or it'll do the same thing. I had Paragard and it worked really well, but right now we're just using condoms.

Oh i see! What is paragard?
i want to just use condoms but I'm so afraid of an accident it almost makes me not want to have sex. Our life kind of got all messed up after SO lost his job so we went from TTC to don't even think about ttc and i was pushed to get on BC but I'm so miserable it isn't even worth it.

The last couple symptoms that started today make me feel pregnant. ughh. i just want the side effects to end.

Paragard is an IUD. Good for up to 10 years, copper t (you can't use it if you're allergic to copper). It can make periods a little heavier to start but it's your body getting used to the device. You don't have to use condoms with it, no remembering to take a pill and no hormones to make your body freak out monthly. I loved it. I would get back on it if I wasn't going to take it out in 2 years.

Is there a minimum amount of time you have until you can take it out?
Depending on what the next couple months bring, we might be trying again so idk if it is worth only putting it in for a couple of months. i would love to try this though! i currently have no children yet idk if that matters either.
