worried

Ok i had my son a month ago monday he was 9 weeks early when he was in the nicu he ate every 3 hrs til we got home then he changed to every 2 hrs. Now all he wants to do is sleep he sleeps a lot and really dont wake up for like 4 hrs or more is that ok for a preeme??? My girls was on a scedual but he wont stay on one. And he dont cry he grunts unless u dont get him fast enough then he just screams

My daughter was born 9 1/2 weeks early. When she left the NICU she was eating every 4 hrs. She is eating every 4 hrs 3-4 oz. At nights she sometimes goes a little longer.

when he is awake does he seem kinda dopy?? i would maybe call his pedi just to see cause they way you make it sound he is pretty lathergic and that is not good....sleeping a lot is fine but if he is kinda dopy i may be a little worried

If he wakes up every 4 hours, that is still good. As long as he don't go longer than 5 hours without eating. He should be eating more ounces though. I know my son would go longer without eating when he started to eat more at one time.
