re: those who didnt breastfeed

posted 29th Apr
I have talked to many people on the topic of sagging boobs after pregnancy, and we have all come to the conclusion that whether you nurse or not, they are going to have some degree of sagging depending on your breast size, and age. So don't let that be a deterrent for breastfeeding. It's whats best for the baby. If you try and it doesn'y work out for you then it's ok to go to formula, I had to go to soy formula with my youngest because she is lactose intolerant and couldn't handle the breastmilk. And I had to stop nursing the oldest when she started biting me and I couldn't correct it. And even with formula, they both turned out just fine. So give it a try, and if you don't like it/can't do it, don't sweat it. Just do what is best for you and your baby! (even if the fiance gets a little jealous of having to share the boobs.... tell him that feeding a baby is their purpose, them being fun is an added bonus... I went through that w/my hubby too)

i'm really nervous. what if i cant do it right and the baby ends up not getting any food. and i've heard of breasts going dry? and then they have to switch to formula.
i heard this terrible story and the lady told me herself, she was breastfeeding and her breast went "dry" so she switched to formula but the formula ripped up her sons intestines! and he was in the hospital for days..

I totally BF for the first 4 months
I gained 60 pounds from pregnancy I came home from the hospital 20 pounds lighter and in the first 2 weeks I lost another 10. then I was stuck at 170 FOREVER... it took me 3 months to get down to 160. Then when I was months PP I got really REALLY sick so I had to start doing half formula half breast milk. And since I've started weaning my weight had dropped A LOT!

I already had large breasts and breast fed my 2nd child for a year and they didn't sag any more than before. When my daughter was 4 I had a breast reduction and it was the best thing for me, I was a little shocked at first but I think they turned out great!

It might, I don't personaly know yet since I'm due July 2nd. I first read about it in high school and then they said you should be done with kids so I waited until I turned 30. Breasts tend to grow during pregnancy and nursing due to the milk, and for some women they also go down by their own but mine never did. I also thought due to my reduction I wouldn't be able to breastfeed, but my doc says women have been able too. I think it of like the gastro bypass, those people can gain all that weight back, so the chance is also good to gain all that boob back  The surgery is improving all the time, it is costly, but now I can buy pretty bras and get them anywhere!
