Tanning...

Do any of you pregnant ladies tan outside, if so how long? And what do you use?

Yep. We bought a small pool from walmart, Addy plays while I lay, and I play too. hehe
We're outside for probably 2 to 3 hours, she's covered in sunblock and I use Banana Boats spf 4 oil.

I used Hawaiian Tropic Dark Tanning Oils. But I would only be in the sun for about an hour. But have you ever used indoor tanning lotion before? I never have, and I know it doesn't have any sunscreen or skin protection in it, but neither does my Hawaiian Tropic Oil and I don't burn. I'm wondering if it would matter if I used indoor tanning lotion. Considering it doesn't say not to, just warns that it doesn't contain any sunscreen, etc.

I don't know, I've never been a huge tanning bedder and the one time I used tanning bed lotion in the bed I apparently was allergic to it. But I have no idea if you can you indoor tanning products outside.

Last summer when I was prego I tried to lay out a couple times I was about 8 months & it was so terribley uncomfortable & made my stomach hurt! (maybe it was in my head) but although i wanted to be super cute/tan & prego in my bikini it didnt work out too well lol

I heard it's harder to tan your stomach than it is the rest of your body. And when you're pregnant you have a higher chance of getting sunburned.

Yea, my skin felt alot more sensitive & I was burning up hot instantly. I was too big to lay on my tummy

Yeah, I learned that the hard way. Last year I was in Hawaii, it was my 2nd day there and I went to the beach, didn't use ANY lotion or oil and burned SO bad. I was sunburned for about 3 or 4 days then the peeling process came. I seriously looked like a chocolate cow, i sucked. The only part of my body that didn't burn so bad is my tummy, just got a little pink then went back to white. I'm kinda dreading summer this year cause I'm in Nevada..guess I'll be somewhat hibernating lol, if my son lets me. lol

lol the first time I wenr to Hawaii i did the same thing! I laid out by the pool, then at the beach, then at the pool again & the next day i was RED from head to toe, it was so painful & embarrasing I told everyone I was from Oregon & they all went "oooooh" lol yea no sun here

Yeah, I had to rub Aloe Vera on me like 50 times a day and everywhere we went I took the bottle with me. When I went out in public, people just stared. I was with my sisters family, who all lived there for at least a year before I got there, so they were all pretty much black and made me look like a really ghostly white lol.
