Dh's parents tried to tell me that I can not get an abortion in the state of louisiana if I was married unless my husband signed off on it. True or BS? And if it is true can I go out of state to somewhere that does not have that stipulation?

Why wouldn't he sign off on it, should that be the law?

I'm pretty sure they're lying. If it somehow is true, you can always drive just across the border into another state and get one done there.

No I don't think it should. He became abusive a onth into our marriage and when I told him I wanted out because of it he got us throw out of our house and left me stranded with no where to go with two kids to take care of. I can't take care of another one alone. And I want to get this marriage annuled instead of going threw a messy divorce which I can't do while I am pregnant.

I've never heard of that... last I checked you don't need anyone's permission to have one.

How would they know? Is your husband included? And no court would hold that up I don't think.

Your dd is mu bday. But anyway my initial thought was be prepared for a divorce if you did it without dh wanting it but I see you don't have that worry. Im really sorry hun   you don't need anyone to sign for it. Just go do it.
